The ImmersEd team had a vision of bringing large-scale, free roam Virtual Reality to schools — letting students explore the surface of the moon, the bottom of the ocean, or the depths of ancient history. While they had a vision, they needed a product, a brand, and a strong go-to-market strategy.
The ImmersEd team had a long history of running VR Arcade's but no experience in building or marketing a software product. We partnered with them to both create the initial version of their product, and build a a go-to-market system that would let them affordably test the product in market. To start, we built a strong customer feedback system — regularly brining in teachers to test our software and provide direct feedback. We then prototyped an initial product ourselves, before leading their team in developing a full MVP of the product. At the same time we focused heavily on building a strong direct sales outreach system, training their internal staff on aggressive cold sales, and supporting their efforts with a full brand package and CRM setup.
Within 5 months we had developed a working MVP, landed their first set of orders from a local school, and helped them secure their initial outside investment at a valuation of over $1M.
